Anchor Homes, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit corporation that operates a faith-based recovery program. Our mission is one of great priority. We believe in helping people of all races, nationality, social class, religion, gender, and language, with recovery programming and housing. We believe that the answer to addiction is Jesus Christ. Whether people accept Jesus Christ as their savior, does not affect their needs, and will not affect our actions. It is the action of loving one another as Jesus loves us, that will open the door to their hearts for Jesus to walk into.
Our FAMS program is officially available for applicants. Last Year 4 people received scholarships. This program will allow fathers and mothers to leave our program with an even greater chance of success. 5 more accepted participants will have their housing paid for, while attending school. This is a collaboration between Ten Up Ministries, Inc, Anchor Homes, Inc, Bridge Valley Technical College, and Ben Franklin Career School.
Give Him Praise, continues to be the greatest night of the month. As we are blessed to have a recovery meeting that gives our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the Praise and recognition for our sobriety. We come together and fellowship. We hear and give testimonies. We listen to a message from God, on recovery. We worship together. We celebrate our clean time and the participant's completing various phases of their treatment.

Mr. Alderman serves as an Assistant Director of Anchor Homes. He is a product of the typical struggle with addiction. He knows all the paths of recovery, and has spent many years of doing it wrong, so now he knows how to do it right. He does a great job of leading the participants by example. He has experience at Anchor Homes as a participant, Recovery Point, Oxford House, and others. He has been with Anchor for over 2 years. First as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist with our Prep Program. Then he switched to the Long-term side. He quickly earned the title of Head Coach. She left Anchor Homes to move into a program that allowed her children to be at the property. After she acquired sufficient time without a reoccurance of use, to become a recovery coach, she started working for Anchor Project Center as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist. She was one of the first coaches to start the Huntington region's program. Lindsey's next placement with the company was at the PREP unit in Cross Lanes. She did such a good job working with the females as they enter recovery, that she was later promoted to Shift Leader. She has been the Leader of the female Prep unit for next to two years. While in this position, she has purchased a home and solidified her own recovery by achieving the "American Dream" of home ownership while leading newcomers into recovery by setting an example and being the role model, that Anchor Homes female population needs. #anchorstrong
